Awesome Platonic Love Games wanted a logo and visual package that stood out from the crowd.
Included in the package was a main logo that reflected the personality of the remaining show host and a closely related color palette to the OG brand. Also included was secondary logo that would be used for guest host shows that retained the main brand but did not include the host visual.
The main logo.
The original logo for Awesome Platonic Love Games was a hand drawn illustration showing the two show founders sitting on a couch playing games. With the exit of the main show founder, APLG needed a change. During the design phase, the same hand drawn feel was retained and narrowed to the new show host. I kept the characterization to a minimum so that the host remained recognizable. I incorporated the visuals into circular formats to include a wide use case.
An alternate logo.
The client wanted to incorporate a series of guest hosts into the formatting. In order to account for this, he wanted an alternate logo that focused more on gaming than the character. For this purpose, an alternate logo was created and the same circular format was adopted.
Brand elements and personality.
The original color palette was modified to include brighter colors and more closely align the color palette. The elements were delivered in useable elements that could be used in a wide variety of applications from motion graphics to thumbnails and social content.
